La Botana Tex Mex Restaurant in Chamblee

I've had a lot of Mexican food all around the world, but La Botana has the best Mexican food in all the world. Their tacos 🌮 and Baritos have no equal. The funny part is that I love their chips and homemade salsa the most. And their drinks are never watered down. This is a hidden Atlanta Treasure tucked quietly away in Chamblee. Bring your entire family, sit on the patio and eat, laugh and drink until you pass out. You won't find better food anywhere else in the city.

I used eat at this place all the the time. It was good food at a cheap price. You could get a simple hard shell taco for a little under $2. Now they want & 2.50...for what should be the cheapest thing on there menu. I can go to several other Mexican restaurants that offer basic tacos for $1.00. I don't understand why they are so proud of there basics.

Amazing fajitas and even better customer service. This place is our go-to spot and never fails to hit the spot. Everyone that helps us is super attentive and nice. Try their queso dip with chorizo 🤤 I promise you won’t regret it.

This is a hidden spot. Very good fajitas, chicken tacos and chicken burrito verde. Texas Margarita is also good. You receive large portions for a good price. Not a fancy decor but great food and excellent service. Definitely worth a try!!

Our first visit. They were very welcoming and extremely attentive to our party of 7. Best bean and cheese dip ever.

Awesome food. Cooks have bee there 15 years. Family run super friendly. They make you feel like home. Has been in business over 20 years. Great quality.

I am a disabled senior and I have no transportation. They do not utilize any delivery services and no matter what time you call, the phone is never answered. Several friends have recommended this restaurant to me, but if they don't answer their phone nor have a delivery service, this restaurant is of no use to me and to many more like me who can't get around. One friend went by there yesterday, but the line for take-out orders was a wait of 45 to 60 minutes, so they left. Should they use some of the many delivery services, I am sure that their business, and profits, would increase dramatically. Those reasons are why they received 1star.

Great place to eat! - Very friendly- Clean- Good food- Price is on point.Why only 4 stars? Could use a touch more creativity in the dishes, especially the salads... a fresh homemade avocado dressing (super easy and goes a long way), a dash of seasoning to complement, a hint of a little something extra to jazz it up.

Good margaritas, and the carnitas used in the enchiladas rancheros are delicious!

This is my weekly Mexican restaurant. I like the chicken fajita quesadilla. The service is good, food is good, and they do not skimp on the tequila in the margs. There is usually a short wait when I go, so plan to get there early.

(Solo-ist) Couldn't have been more than 30min line to check. The Colorado was just like the pic. Delicious food, great service, price meets the market to make it in volume. Nice seating by the glass house (windows).

Hands down best Tex mex place. Amazing food. I had taco with fajitas and it was yumm. Best I ever had !!Then quaso and salsa were good as well. Pretty crowded but quick service , quick turnarounds. Great prices. Lunch for two was within 25. From outside I did hesitate to go in but after going in there is no looking back.

We live down the street. The food here is always delicious. Margaritas hit the spot. But what really stands out is the service. Every time the servers and staff are always amazing.This last visit I was dining alone with my toddler. As toddlers do, she ended up melting down right as our food came. I tried to ride it out but ultimately had to abandon ship. Three staff members helped me pack up our meals and get out the door. I will never forget how they helped me. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Fantastic restaurant! Staff is very friendly, efficient and cares about their customers. Food is delicious. Great for dine-in or takeout. This has become a regular spot I take my family & friends.

I live close to this restaurant. Whenever I was passing by the restaurant, I saw the parking lot full. So, I decided to try.Since then, I visit the restaurant every week. For now, this is the only Mexican restaurant I go. After I moved to Atlanta from Dallas, I was almost frustrated since I could not find the decent Mexican restaurant for my Texas taste. Now I know where to go whenever I have a crave for Mexican foods.

Wow! This place is awesome! Best Mexican food I’ve had for quite a while. No fillers all meat! And the margaritas are amazingly good!

My friends and I were craving margaritas and tacos and this place hit the spot. It was really busy since it was a Friday night. But we were seated in less than five minutes. The food was great, margaritas were strong and food came out piping hot and delicious.

The food was great, service was friendly, flexible and fast! They accommodated our surprise family reunion and my hearing impairment very thoughtfully by seating us in a nook in that seemed to muffle the festive background music to allow for conversation and the energetic singing of my 3 year old granddaughter. Decor is comfortable and rustic, seating is comfortable, solidly built reducing risk of falls for seniors. My daughter goes here frequently with her nuclear family and says they are always accommodating, offering a relaxed atmosphere for families and singles that reflects Atlanta's diversity. Prices are quite reasonable. Kudos to La Botana Tex Mex!!

This restaurant is more like for Americans. Food need more taste more flavor, and one more thing recommendation one the ladys who brings the chips to the table please let her not. Do not chew gum and making bombs looks very bad she was making bombs in front of a table when she brought the chips and salsa. By the way I ordered some steak fajitas everything lacked flavor

Stopped in for a quick bite while waiting for my car to be cleaned. Ordered the Guadalaharra Special. Was reasonably priced, but what a mess it was. I forgot to ask for light lettuce. Sure enough, was completely covered in lettuce. Only a teaspoon of Quacamole. (Sorry if my spelling of important Latino words is bad). Service was attentive. The chicken was somewhat lacking in texture, taste and was dried up. I will probably visit again due to its proximity to my favorite car wash, but I will avoid the chicken.

I love this place, when ever I someone ask me for a good place to eat. This place is on top of my list. Although, lunch time gets crowded you will understand why once you engulf in this great Tex- Mex styled food.

The food and prices are great. Service has always been fast and accurate. Ambience is a little rough. This place could easily expand to a larger restaurant or open an additional location.

The best service and location in Chamblee Dunwoody right inside 285 my new spot. They where just nice even do Corona virus was going on their Corona's was cold.!
